Re: Benford Dumper TT2000 not driving

I have not had to do this job on my dumpy but first to make it easy remove the tin ware from around the engine and gearbox. This will give you a clear look at what has to be undone to remove the gearbox if required. Before going down that road you need to establish if the clutch is adjusted properly...

Re: Dumper restoration

Your description is very clear and easy to follow so much so that even I understood it. As for the adjusting screw on top of the injector I think it is too late to say dont adjust it. I think I read somewhere that it has been altered so if that is the case it will need to be reset properly by use of...

Re: Dumper restoration

Good advice Ian and checking your spill timing and setting it if required is very important. Your question about 'a nut' on top of the injector is interesting. It would mbe best to show a picture of what you have removed or adjusted so we can answer that one. Cold weather is your enemy at the moment...

Re: AUSA 108 DA

Hi widford, Now agaiin I am guessing at the numb ers you have provided. The first group of numbers 392.11165 may well be patent numbers. LK, I dont know but possible model id, SR maybe model of the Lister engine, "A" might be anticlockwise direction, 51207 the engine number. So if possible...

Re: AUSA 108 DA

G'Day Trev and welcome to the forum. No doubt someone local to you may be able to answer more of your questions but for your hydraulic parts usually take what you need to the local bearing or hydraulic shop and put them on the bench and they will be able to match up the parts. AS for the clutch, aga...

Re: Classic dumper rescue and ident

Something that also may help in lifting the numbers off your id plate is to hold a torch on an angle to the plate and the shadows can highlight the numbers and letters. I have also rubbed some soft chalk over numbers as well with good results. Have a young person with you who just may have better ey...

Re: Classic dumper rescue and ident

G'Day and welcome David. Nice little dumper you have there. Have a look around the engine block near the injector and there should be an engine ID plate there. Write down all the information on that plate or take a clear pic of it and post up here. This will tell you the Model of the engine, HP, and...

Re: Thwaites All drive 7000 Leaking gearbox oil

Thanks Jeremy, There are a few suppliers of these repair kits for many different applications but the main thing that is important is to accurately measure the OD of the shaft to be repaired. My D.B. 30C Cropmaster had some bad oil leaks from the axle seals that destroyed the brakes then the half sh...
