Re: JCB Excavators Old & New

Hi Andy, you don't live too far away from me then as I live in the West Midlands. The 6D is around the same vintage as the 5C all three of your JCB 360 machines are Perkins 6,354 powered but the 812 probably has the turbo version. The 6D don't look in bad condition either its just missing its fibre ...

Re: JCB Excavators Old & New

Hi Andy I see you finally got it up to where you live then, looks a nice machine for its age you certainly don't see many JCB 5C's around let alone long reach versions!
What model numbers are the other 360 machines that you have then?

Re: I need your feedback!

I still find some of the personal messaging daunting. When I send a message, I do not know for sure if i have sent it. It appears to be stuck in theoutbox instead of the sent box. Some of the jargon and boxes, i haven't a clue about. There must be more like me, or am I the thick one? Thanks, boddin...

Re: Lancer boss Forklift

Hi Ned, I live near to Birmingham in the West Midlands, the company I currently work for are having a bit of trouble with a Cat FLT that we lease so if I get a chance to have a word with the engineer when he comes in I will ask his advice to see if I can learn anything new that would help you, they ...

Re: Lancer boss Forklift

Hi Ned I am no FLT expert but I would say that you would need the counterweight lifting off to get enough room to remove the engine, sorry but my experience does not go any further here so I wish you the best of luck with it. I would of thought that the brake slave cylinders if they are leaking woul...

Re: Lancer boss Forklift

Hi Ned, welcome to the site! I can only offer a small amount of advice here; regarding the master cylinder if its pitted inside then its scrap because fluid will simply pass any new seals you fit via the rust pits, secondly I would also look at the brake slave cylinders too as the seals in those may...

Re: JCB Excavators Old & New

I think in answer to your question Nick is that JCB and Hymac had their cabs on the right because us Brits have right hand drive cars .. perhaps they were only thinking of the home market at that time Martyn Very true Martyn that may also be the reason I had forgotten to mention that Hymac also pre...
