Went to see Brian with his George Fowell dumper today. An hour away but well worth it to yak with another owner and one who knows all about it. Brian spotted that the ally gearbox pulley/brake drum is from the earlier "belt beside offside wheel" model and is larger diameter than the steel...

Love the top photo with the Poclain TCS :claphands: any ideas where that was taken? Lovely 70's shot with a good old 'Woolies' in the background. :thumbup:

The third photo down is near Chesterfield, the famous twisted church spire gives the location away. :thumbup:

Having completed the restoration of the 580BT control levers, my next task was also unplanned, while running up the Poclain during one of my visits, I discovered a cracked track link :| also she has developed an oil leak from somewhere underneath by the rotary coupling which I had replaced the seals...

Pete they are not quite the right fit unfortunately but they came off EBay; I may order some mre but a slightly smaller diameter for hopefully a better fit?

I would have thought that these components are still available new off the shelf? If not strip it down, measure how much wear you have , get a local engineering shop to knock you up a couple of new pins and bushes, I guess that would be a reasonable solution.
