Re: JCB 3CX White cab - Hydraulic oil capacity?

With luck some one will be able to help, have you looked on the downloads available here? Probably between 120 and 140 litres and 32 grade.

Re: Barn Find JCB 1 Gravedigger

That might be quite sort after partly because it is relatively scarce and secondly because they are not as heavy for a private collector to shift about. Some of the pictures on the net show the 1 as cabless so perhaps a cab was an option and the replacement could be removed to keep it more original....

Re: whats this

Is that based on a Nuffield? I always thought the Whitlocks used Ford skids.

Re: B250D hydraulics question(s)

I fitted an extra spool valve for a third service to an old loading shovel years ago. The first attempt, with no brain in gear, I took off a T from the main service line. Nothing would then work as oil would flow throw which ever spool block that was not selected. Mk 2 was to fit the extra sp...

I suppose JCB might have had some Fordson skids in hand when the Major production finished. JCB were supposed to have buried the last Major skid.

Re: Jcb 3 or 3c or something else

Some of the JCB experts like Martin Henley will confirm for you but there threads on CMN, if you search, which will give you the time line. The Fordson link ceased with the end of the Super Major sometime in 1964. JCB failed to strike up an agreement with Ford for the new world series of tractors an...

Re: B250D hydraulics question(s)

It might be possible to break into the delivery pipe, route it through a spool block and then on to the tractor hydraulics. The spool would need its own suitably set relief valve or the pump/engine could be overloaded.

Re: B250D hydraulics question(s)

Not sure about this model but if you set up a spool valve from the tipping pipe it will still be necessary to have the lift arm control lever in the raised position and therefore I don't think the lift arms will be independent. Does this tractor have an external hydraulic pump mounted on the engine?
