Re: New owner of Hymac 580B

Time for an update. Replacing the springs in the valves was a pretty tight job to do. Not much of a space to work on. 20180308_144747.jpg 20180308_144805.jpg 20180308_143753.jpg Connecting the wires to the valves 20180318_154737.jpg 20180318_173158.jpg Brackets for the joysticks 20180321_103905.jpg ...

Re: Hymac 580BT 1969

Interesting to see the swing gears. There should be some kind of bearing there i have understand, but i cant see it on the s...

Re: New owner of Hymac 580B

Thanks for the advice and the information! As soon as i be able to test my machine in real digging i will have your advice regarding the pumps in mind. I understand that your intention is to restore the machine to original standards and i can certainly understand that. I also admire the art of engin...

Re: New owner of Hymac 580B

I want to modernize the worn controls to modern standard to make the machine easier to operate. 20180307_170240.jpg The first step will be to replace the strong springs in the valveblock to easier ones. But first i have to make a special tool to remove the screw holding the spring. 20180307_154238.j...

Re: New owner of Hymac 580B

Now I'm done with the restoration of the drive also on the other side. The chain sprocket was a little bit tricky to get in place. The splines was a little bit damaged at the edge so i had to grind the edge a little. 20180211_115547.jpg Then the new chain. The old one had stretched half a link over ...

Re: Poclain 75 CKB

Nice object! My uncle had a poclain 75 B before. Remember he let me try an operate it sometimes. It was my first contact with an excavator. I really loved it.Therefore Poclain has a special place in my heart.

Re: New owner of Hymac 580 B

Yes we have to get used to the snow over here :D
The machine seems to be in good shape. The owner before me did quite a lot of restoration work on it.
But i have not yet done any digging with it so the condition of the hydraulics is yet to be tested :)
