Someone with more experience will with luck come along but have you tried filling the tank to brim and bleeding through to the pump as the tank is above the pumps? When it conks out will it start without rebleeding when cooled down? Has it got power when it initially runs?

The JCB does look a real beast. I've have been fightened of the later Hymacs by folk on here.

Martyn what do you use for gass? There was always a little wonky stuff around here but sources now dried up. What is the cheapest option?

I hate to sound fussy or unappreciative but theres a few inaccuracies on that timeline poster. Got to be honest the inaccuracies have always irritated me. The JCB produced anniversary books have some howlers in as well. If it was up to me I'd have had a straight year on year timeline of the 3c /3cx...

That is interesting, having a starter checked is a fairly easy inexpensive line of action. I have had a few tractors over the years that were not particularly good starters, sometimes from cold, sometimes from hot. Mostly not spinning quickly enough for a good start. All put right very cost effectiv...

No white cab 3CX for a start. Were the different variations of the 80s 3CXs counted as different models or just updates?
