Re: Mystery loader - looking for a picture
The Brays were slow, but even then they bounced and skipped around, you couldn't drop your guard for a second. Being rear steer with not much a the front it was often difficult to gauge where it was heading. Never had much dealings with the 77. My 66 had been 'doctored' before I inherited it and wen...

Re: Mystery loader - looking for a picture
Found a (poor!) photo. Stopped for lunch at a chippy somewhere between Maidenhead and White Waltham during harvest 1985. Boss wouldn't have thought to look for us there. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/14343_1MAOCPEVE8XIQ1696972859.jpg Difficult to see but the Loaders both had a...

Re: Classic pictures Updated 08/10/2023
Sorry, forgot the captions... The Mixer was seen several times over the space of a week in the Scottish highlands, early 90's. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/14343_3LHW6JYNESU8S1696972200.jpg Liverpool or Southampton I think. Love to know what's in those crates. http://www.clas...

JIC couplings
Is there a trick to get JIC couplings to seal?
Just changed a deceased ram and the old couplings won't seal to the new ram. The ram fittings are identical from what I see but they just won't stop dripping.
Ideas anyone?

Re: Uploading pics
Type your text, then go to your GALLERY, coose the pic you want and below it there should be a button marked INSERT. Click on it.
You will see a text address where the picture will be. Check it by clicking the PREVIW button. the picture should appear. When you're done = submit.

Re: New toy
We had a grey that smoked like a train but no fire. Thanks, it's quite tidy for 45. It's a fine line between keeping it original and giving it a three-field restoration. Yes it has the spacer. That little bit extra gives more room between the gear stick and the seat - makes a hell of a difference. A...

We made it! Photo0874.jpg Photo0875.jpg Opening. It's as bad as it looks, there's a strip across the plot like concrete. Photo0876.jpg Skims now in the long grass, looking a little better. Photo0877.jpg Finished a bit deep but not too bad. Photo0878.jpg Photo0879.jpg Photo0880.jpg Didn't get placed,...
Re: New toy
Yes I had a 35x mp on 12.4-28 rears an that was scary fast. This one has an 8 speed full crash box (not the Porsche derived semi syncro) on 12.4-32 rims. I doesn't bother me, just more surprised by the diference.
Re: New toy
Right, where are we up to? Took it for it's first run yesterday evening. More recently I've been used to a NH 8560 which I would describe as a bit lairy on the road, the 550 is more a cheeky little handfull, and no, the 32" wheels do not make up for the low gearing. 15 mph flat! Still a fun cou...
