Re: 3CX Grey CAB Slew Cylinder Bolt Size

sorry for late reply, The hydraulic oil was coming out at the first joint in the king post. I think u wont see a lot when u remove the bottom plate. There is a large dowel fitted to the bottom plate that engages with the base of the king post and that is about all u will see from my recollection. to...

Re: Ransomes T51D/951D Batwing Mower, losing power under Load

Just a note that i forgot to add on the assembly of the injection pump. The plunger piston has to be aligned in a such a way that the helical slot in the plunger is lined up with the inlet port on the the barrel otherwise no diesel will get injected. The internal injector chamber gear will then be a...

Re: JCB 3CX Hydraulic Pump Removal

I got the drive shaft removed from the spline today, then I removed the circlip on the shaft in front of the shaft seal. I opened the four bolts securing the pump together. I then removed the section of the pump containing the shaft seal and the shaft seal was well damaged and worn. I called to my l...

Re: Ransomes T51D/951D Batwing Mower, losing power under Load

Yeah the injection pump is fairly straight forward on the Kubota v2203 DI and i repaired it myself. I ordered and replaced all 4 plungers when i had it opened. The only thing to watch out for is the alignment of the timing mark on the internal injector chamber gear to the stop lever which slides ove...

Re: Ransomes T51D/951D Batwing Mower, losing power under Load

I just wanted to provide here the resolution that i found to this issue of losing power under load. The issue was in the Injector pump (4 cylinders). One of the plungers in the injector pump was getting stuck so only 3 of the cylinders were getting adequate fuel. Each plunger is activated by a cam s...

Re: JCB 3CX Hydraulic Pump Removal

Right so i have had a go at this and i successfully removed the pump. What i did was get the machine into a good accessible position. Then i removed the front grill. I cranked the engine until the grub screw in the hydraulic pump drive shaft was accessible and i removed the grub screw (the grub scru...

Re: Oil leaking from bottom of king post of my 1987 jcb3cx

i had to get a 38mm 3/4 inch socket and a strong sturdy driver for it (0.5 meter long). then i additionally needed a 1.5 Meter pipe to slip over the shaft of the driver to get enough torque to open the Nuts. They were tight but it opened them all.

Re: Oil leaking from bottom of king post of my 1987 jcb3cx

I had this issue on my grey cab 3cx (oil leaking from the king post). In my case it was the slew pot seals. I replaced the seals on both slew pots and the issue was resolved completely. its a pretty straight forward repair. before starting make sure the rear of the machine is accessible as u need so...
