Re: HYMAC 580CT RARE!

Thanks for the ID comfirmation, I'll put the plans for the world cruise on hold. Interesting that as you say, the 'T' does appear to be in a different font it seems to have faded in the same way as the other lettering. Never mind, not my machine, not my problem. As I said I've never had much to do w...

Re: HYMAC 580CT RARE!

Thanks Jeremy. You've now got me intreaged as to what the lettering is it's on the side panel facing the camera, as you look at it the opposite end to the missing panel, could the panel have been swapped? Where would I find an ID plate? Not a machine I have much to do with so no clue where to start.

Re: HYMAC 580CT RARE!

I'm sure I've posted this picture before... http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/14343_16YL8HSYUD3U41504459149.jpg The 580 in the background appears to have '580 CT' on the side panel yet it has a raked cab rather than the square type in previous pics. I'm guessing I'll need to go lo...

Massey backactors were detachable, never tried it though - looked a right faff!

Villiers cement mixer

May be of interest to someone... I have an old, 1970's maybe, petrol cement mixer. It's an upright type, don't know who made it but the underlying colour is blue with a Villiers engine, solid rubber tyred wheels and a large tilt control wheel. I cleaned the points and did have it running well, the o...
