I would agree with the last post from experience and what I have seen on the Farming forum. Poor connectors are a problem and a weak join can cause high resistance and heat before total failure. Do you look at the Brit Farming forum as no doubt someone will have an idea of where to look?

JCB 814S (89 grey cab) Would anyone have an ops book kicking around that they would like to sell? Also a couple of questions. Two dash buttons I am not sure about. If you have not a press guage to hand you could take off a steering pipe and put the open end into a clean container and see if it pumps oil out. 2 Handed with care?

Is this the manual shuttle, I think you will find rev gear does make a different noise probably due to the gearing employed in reverse. Certainly our old Powertrain did and our Sanderson does as well.

It does sound like air in the system. Would it be possible to damage the pump if run with air for a brief while. Most of the systems I have fiddle with bled out by working the steering one way then the other a few times. I remember our old MK11 orbitrol did not pressure up when the engine was not ru...
