Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start

May sound daft but check there are no hydraulic valves or levers stuck in or on, I had it with my 370c, the swing lock hydraulic lever was stuck on and it would not start and gave all the symptoms of being out of diesel, is there smoke coming out of the exhaust?

Re: Hymac 370c dashboard switches

Thanks for all your replys! I’ve exhausted most avenues and I’ve taken a leaf out of our friends from across the water and refurbed one to see if it was possible, to be honest they are easy to pry apart and there is not a lot to go wrong in them, I have cleaned one out and relubricated the spring an...

Hymac 370c dashboard switches

Hi I’m getting the Hymac 370c ready for shows in the summer and I’m trying to get all the electrics up and running but the dashboard switches are really ropey, would anybody have any lying about in their sheds that I could purchase? They are arrow electrical type as fitted to JCB 3c’s I think and th...

Re: Nimbus non starter.....

Not sure why you say it's not serviceable. Got it stripped down and just taking off the last of the paint with a bath of paint remover. Going to stick it in the parts washer in the morning. Rebuild sometime in the week. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/47367_1KJP165RSWGO81649707...

Re: Nimbus non starter.....

I decided to get the dumper started last week, but it woudnt fire up. Tried and tried to wang it over but nothing. I tried to bleed the fuel system but couldnt get the fuel from the pump to the injector. So, today I took off the fuel pump, to find both the fuel pumo, and the actuator from the engin...

Re: Johnson axle seal replacement

Hi Richard welcome to the site  I am sure somebody can point you in the right direction with this, just taking a guess here but you will need to remove the half shaft, also the brake linings should be replaced if they are contaminated with oil. There are specialist brake companies who can fit...

Re: orion hub removal

If you can free of the slack adjuster with heat and releasing fluid then you can tap the brake drum and hopefully the springs should pull the wedge adjusters back in, as Jeremy said even if there is a lip on the inside of the brake drum they should still come off and bring the brake shoe with it, it...
