Re: thwaites 4x4 aligator dumper

Hi all.
I converted a Petters PH2 to electric start, I used a a donor engine for parts as mine did not have the starter ring Fly wheel. I posted the conversion on here. I think it comes under dumper TLC or Wingate 4s dumper. I had to fashion the tin work as there wasn't any made for that model.

Hi Jeremy.
Maybe that plate has a slight buckle in it ( I know you will have not let it go unnoticed) but if it still leaks I would knock a thicker plate up, if it still leaks, er er well er er :?

JCB 3cx

Hi all. Had a go at the offside rear brake to day (pedal to the floor) wheel off and O/A around the bleed nipple ( as you do ). Sorted that out but could not get any fluid to come out, very little pressure when pedal depressed. Ran out of time so wheel back on etc. I'm thinking now master cylinder s...

Re: JCB 3cx fork

The railway have just sold the 3c II to Vicary plant, the forks were meant to go on the 3cx. Vicary came when I wasn't there so the forks went with the machine. It would have been interesting to see how someone could have bent the fork the wrong way (acute angle).

JCB 3cx fork

Hi all.
My 3cx has a fork which is bent at an acute angle (previous owners) only Know two ways to get it back to normal. Large press, have to find one. Or the gas axe, but would that alter the strength of the material? Anyone had any experience with one of these?

Re: Car SOS restoring a JCB 3C mk3

It's on National Geo at the moment. I've been told that they subbed most of the work out. Still be interesting to watch. I'm not connected to SKY so it makes things a tad difficult.

Re: JCB 3CX identification

Pete.
Just used the ten fingers and thumbs type :) they went on without to much faff, unlike the King post pin which I posted on here. The guide part of the seals are split so no bother with them and the O rings being new are very flexible.
