Fuel tank looks like a Track Marshall, but the front looks wrong.

Re: What's this dozer????/
I think a BTD8, with the cast grill. Don't know if it's a standard cab, though.

Re: Can anyone remember
Just goes to show there's always something new to learn in this game. I only heard of the Poclain on here recently, and the Deutz, well blow me sideways! Did anyone not build a rear-engined hystat?

Re: Can anyone remember
Thanks, Fred, had a bit of a brainf**t there. Typo corrected on original post now. I'd forgotten the Eimcos. Did the Poclain make it into production, and what size was it?

Re: Can anyone remember
Dunno about chickens and eggs, but I do know about the IH/Hough Model 12 Payloader, in production from 1956-1962. Not hystat, but the engine was in the right place. Caterpillar bought one from IH.
This Poclain is a new beast to me. Anyone know any more?

The berms are left high for health and safety. With the trucks reversing up to them they have less chance of going over the tip edge.

Thanks, Paul. Wondered if it was H & S overkill.

Definitely an 18, the 14's were single stack.

Re: UK Coal Lodge House Cat D9T
Why is the op leaving such a big berm? Just curious, surely a smaller berm so the trucks could tip over the edge would be easier on the dozer, or have they had trucks back right over?

Re: Drott line up
I don't remember the 100's as lacking power. They were quite capable of picking their own backsides off the ground.
