put some of the castrol semi liquid grease in the slew box ,alfagell i think its called ,i have used this in winch,s with leaky seals and had no bother ,it may help take up some slop

i would not worry about that

i spy a 50 hx in the back ground too they were a nice machine
i like the 8080 i have found them a good reliable machine
what sort of age is the hitachi it looks in good nick
