i think another lump will be on the cards ,need all the top end even the rocker cover is scrap , do not think the threads in the block for the head are serviceable , crank and rods are salvageable though , cam and followers are scrap , just need to find one i can afford , don,t mind rebuilding one ,...

This looks like a really interesting project, Graham. Whats the plans for the motor, fit another? Any history on it, why they stripped it down and didn't repair? I have finally got back to this job. Today I took the cable off the water temperature sender and made up a cable to attach to the one terminal inside the connector, switched the ignition on, and then touched earth with the other end of my made-up cable. The temp guauge shot up to maximum. Does this...
