In 1988 Transco ran a new gas pipe line from Werrington, Peterborough to a Compressor station? at Kimbolton. It ran through our parish of Great Gidding in Cambridgeshire. Trenching machines at work on two Gas pipeline projects that passed through the Parish of Great Gidding in 1988 and 1997. The first project was carried out by Murphy's and the second was a joint venture between Entrepose and Laing.
