I have never seen a six wheeler Ford Thames before were they common ? Early 1960's 6 wheel conversions on Bedford TK and Ford Thames Trader.Bedford conversions usually by Boughtons and Fords by County or AWD.Both vehicles with tipper bodies built by Always Welding,Ash nr Aldershot

They had a few depots around London and the south east if I remember rightly Martyn,here's a38RB on the Volvo and a Seddon low loader from the Basingstoke depot

I reckon he backed that old LAD over the edge on purpose seeing as everyone else on the firm had Scanias or Volvos.
