UMO Plant of Letchworth 1970s/80s

Does anyone have any recollections of UMO Plant? They were the importers of a range of Russian plant & equipment including Belaz dump trucks, Kamaz on road trucks and the four wheel drive UAZ Trekmaster and possibly tractors as well. They did sell a few of the Belaz dump trucks as well as the Tr...

Belaz dump trucks of the 1970s/80s in the UK

Does anybody remember the Russian Belaz dump trucks that were imported by UMO.
Radwell Gravels in Bedfordshire had at least 1, WH Malcolm of Scotland also had at least 1.

Does anybody have any pics?

Re: A bit of help with a 4CX

Hi Steve,

The Dodge helping with the recovery is a bit unusual. It seems to have Holmes gear but with the cab profile was it a Fire Engine or Coucil wagon before it became a recovery truck?
