Re: CPCS Card Scheme
My view is that the more tickets the driver has the worse he'll be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can n't beat time in the saddle and there's no law to say you need a ticket at all. Health and safety law only requires an individual to be trained competant in the discipline there doing. On another note.... I learnt ...

Re: Track snapped in moat
Never had any real problems before and I do many de-silts each year. To be honest the tracks were a bit worn which is why I had picked up the spare set that were on the job. The set on it did n't look that bad although I was going to change them. Well sh.t happens! It actually broke about 15 metres ...

Track snapped in moat
Had a bit of bad luck when my track chain snapped de-silting a moat at 2.45 on a friday afternoon! Fortunately I had spare tracks on the job, how oftern does that happen, and it only took 1 1/2 hours to get it all done from start to finish. The washing took a little longer!

Re: sterling B695 towed scraper
Hi, I've got a stirling B695 fully restored which I've had for nearly 10 years. I've got a copy of the original promo literature of 1954 somewhere. If I can remember where I'll send you a copy. There are a few about, but only a few. I made 1 out of 2, the restored one is serial no. 127 the breaker w...

Re: D4H LGP in a pond
It's natural there, the clay is under sandstone. Water permeates through the rock onto the clay runs along it and seeps out into the pond. Lucky. It would cost thousands to import the stuff!

Re: D4H LGP in a pond
I struggled like so many with normal wheeled dumpers but they are such a pain in the arse. I made the body for that one complete with hydraulic tailgate. It looks small but its suprising what it carries and it hardly ever gets stuck. It just keeps going and going and there are hardly any ruts to fla...

D4H LGP in a pond
Got the chance to use the D4 to push up some silt. The ground around here is mostly clay and de-silting usually means its going to be soft underfoot so I was lucky this time.
