Re: Michigan elevator
Nicky this might be of interest to you. Know in late 60's or early 70's the design features were sketched and discussed on restaurant napkins for 252 at dinner with Wabco engineers, service reps and Kaolin miner Billy Jackson in Kaolin region of Georgia. Kaolin is a slippery material, Jackson became...

Cat 7j D4 serial numbers ended in 1942, 2T serial numbers began in 1943 ended in 1945, 5T serial numbers started in 1945. Information indicates it is a 1943 tractor, could well be a 2T as is written on one photo. Is for sure a LaPlant- Choate dozer. Difficult to see push arms to determine if straigh...

Re: Rio Tinto Bingham Canyon Utah USA
Just returned from visit to Utah. Don't know if photos will be available for public but many things taking place to get mine back to normal operation. Ten new Komatsu 960 haul trucks are arriving, components of each will be placed on a skid and dragged to a lay down site some where near bottom of pi...
Re: Cat D5b
Is it possible the apron pivot is what appears to be the end of a pin, similar to where tongue attaches below lift cylinders, in third member down from top of side sheet structure. In very first picture doesn't it look as if the apron actuator linkage is just behind cross beam, but in last picture a...
