Does anyone know how many Companies are operating Motorscrapers in Britain nowadays. All I ever see are dumptrucks on jobs these days.Thirty years ago every major firm seemed to operate a fleet. Does anyone remember Mcgregors pretty certain they were a Chesterfield firm.They had if my memory is correct some Terex r45 trucks and a Cat 16 grader on hire to Tarmacs on the M20 in 1979 1980.The 16 grader driver was a guy called Mossie who I came across again when working on the Falklands in 1984...

Was it not the Wolviston bye pass near Stockton worked on that job maintaining the SGME concrete train 1981.Had many breakfast in the old tea bus whilst working on the M20 Sellindge to Ashford stretch.Great photos a real walk down memory lane.Regards the Ripley job there was some fatalities sadly so...
