Re: winget 3s king pins
All restorations take time to complete. You have to consider the cost factor, parts availablity (it took me 6 years to find a special part for an old crude oil engine I did up) plus your time to have to do it. I have an endless supply of toys to rebuild from stationary engines to vintage lawn mowers...

Re: Paint match for Winget/Muir-Hill Javelin Red?
Whe n it was time to paint our David Brown 30C Cropmaster style tractor no one had the code for Hunting Pink. So as I stripped the tractor down for sand blasting I found some surfgaces that had spent their life together. So I washed, cut back and polished it for paint matching which worked very well...

Re: Thwaites alldrive 3000 dumper
Is it possible that the seat metal cover is correct but seat definitely wrong? Yes the rusty section will need cutting out and some good welding done to corect that. Re: Help identifying older Twaithes dumper
Gibb head keys are fun, some are easy most are bastards. The correct tool is flat curved and tapered and either will work or wont. The head is soft and can bend and break off so go steady. Wil help if you spray WD40 or similar on it from both sides. If the worse happens dont shit yourself, you just ...

Re: Help identifying older Twaithes dumper
I chased down a manual on Google for another dumpy a long time ago, so may be worth a search there but as suggested ask and search here first.

Re: Winget 2S wheel nut thread size?
The wheel studs should be pressed into place. Remove the hub or use a good torch to see behind it to confirm. If it is pressed then press the damaged one/s out and new ones in. I certainly would not try to machine them dow a size and thread again that will weaken them plus new nuts will not suit the...

Re: Oil feed pipe
If you can confirm the one you have found is in good working order with no leaks grab it. I would be cheeky enough to ask the seller if they will take it back if it leaks.
