Hi Pete I have been around but I'm in Western Oz (the home of some big machines) at the moment. Back to the L50. The company did try the machine with all wheel steering but as the machine was intended for the local authority market it never went past the prototype stage. Early L50's had Ford Engines...

Small Loaders alive and well

I don't think many if any were sold in the UK you would have to see if you can find one in France. I know that when we at Weatherills sold Sambron we never sold any or any parts for one.

You still come across 2H's working on farms and backup machines in old coal yards also a lot of other old machines still earning their keep. 42HD's are the main ones you see around.

42H 466 was built Jan/Feb 1965 with a Ford 590E 6cyl diesel engine
