A Benati 610 with demolition equipment sold to an English company by the subsidiary Benati English .. note the name given to Beattie 'excavator! It's a SCOTTISH company :D That machine belonged to George Beattie, who has surely the best address ever for a demolition contractor - Auchinvole Castle! ...

They had individual chain drive to each rear wheel, which I doubt would be completely reliable in site conditions :roll:

They were mounted on Dennis 'Jubilant' truck chassis which was also unusual. The only Dennis crane chassis I know of. I'm amazed that they used Dennis chassis. I always associated them with municipal vehicles - fire engines and dustcarts. :roll: I have the honour of appearing in a Dennis/Alexanders...

Hi Dave S, Heres the other end of your 4.25 yd. Chaseside dumper.The rather nice overloader is a Platypus PD2 Bulloader. Taken 1955. Hi Fred,

Truck mounted B-K rope excavators were used by the Royal Engineers, certainly an unusual setup for the UK!

I'll have a look for some details.
