Re: County Tractors
Top one is a 754 I think, certainly 4 cyl, and no turbo. If you give it a good look over there should be a plate on or near the dash. Good to pair with a 5000 sizewise (don't know what those wheel inserts are for). The 1454 appears to have a Roadless 118 cab on it. Both nice machines, but I'd defina...

Grandparents ran Model 'T's, then Chevvys of some sort. Then parents had Morris Comercial, 3 Bedford TKs, an ergomatic Leyland Lynx tipper and a 1969 Ford D1000 before the Merc. I must have pics of some of the others somewhere, when I find them I'll post them. The Morris, TKs and D1000 were all main...

1976 Mercedes 1617, thought to be one of, if not, the first 'New Generation' cabbed Mercs sold in the country. Delivered July, registered August. Originally supplied by Oldacres of Wokingham, bodywork by King and Taylor of Godalming. The chassis overhang was extended by 3 or 4 feet from new to accom...

What would the likeley weight of this crane be? Some news sites are quoting 60 tons but on four axles I seriously doubt it.

Re: Need help! With hydraulic valves on DB 880 selectamatic
Just a silly thought, I'm sure the old 990 I used to use had a dump valve lever somewhere beside or behind the quadrant. Could it be as simple as the dump valve partially open?

Re: County Tractors
I'm not that familiar with the crawlers but I think... E27N petrol/TVO E27N Perkins (no clue which model) DDN Major 'Ploughman' (Blue) DDN Major 'CD 50' 'CD55' (yellow) All were available with Bomford dozer blades and Boughton winches. The 'Long swamp' tractors had longer track frames ( 5 rollers in...

Not sure about the tool carrier, but the other one I'd say Ursus.
Re: Ransomes
I've seen it done with with a Honda on an MG6 using the original clutch. Rather nausiating in some respects as it was so quiet, and so easy to start!
