Re: 1987 JCB 3CX Sitemaster 2WD

Was the hydraulic oil a milky colour? If so then there has been water in the system and that could explain the filter collapse.

Re: Hymac 580BT 1969

Always good to read how your restoration projects are going. Interesting reading and good clear photos. Neil. (v1230nm) Thanks Neil  I have enjoyed the work I do on these machines and am slowly but surely getting there; it was five years ago to the day that I purchased this Hymac, you can ...

Re: Hymac 580BT 1969

With me being temporarily unable to spray paint the Poclain I decided to try and get the Hymac back together as she has been in pieces for the last few weeks now; the flexi-hoses that I had ordered arrived in the week and the steel track drive motor pipe had also been repaired so I set about sorting...

Re: Poclain 75 CKB

Well sometimes the best plans don't go according to plan; and yesterday I had planned on getting more of the painting done on this machine, however a snag with Andrews compressor prevented me from progressing much further. I ended up working on the Hymac for the first part of the day but still manag...

Tim it's amazing just how much dust and muck things pick up whether in plant or other machines and the muck can easily stop things from working, let's hope you've cracked it.

Re: 1987 JCB 3CX Syncro Shuttle Drive Problem

Tim, this sounds like a loose or bad connection on one or more of your wires; I'd remove the steering column shroud and wiggle the wires to see if you get the indicators and wipers back, let us know how you get on.
