Thank you Fowler Man. I found, and checked out, that thread. Very interesting pics of the machine's at work, and the Crossley engines
As a follow-up, here are some scans from my LIMA 802 brochure, which I believe is from 1952. The rotating deck shots show the V-8 CAT D17000 power-unit.

LIMA 1201
Scanned from a brochure dated 11/49. Click image to enlarge. The 3-to-3.5 cubic yard 1201 was made from 1939 thru 1959. I have read that some were license-built by Glasgow's North British Locomotive Co. for Jack Olding & Co., Ltd., in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. These had Crossley EST4/875 4-cylind...

Hanson 654-H
Scans from a sheet dated 9/61. I've read that Hanson made a lot of crane/excavators and hydraulic cranes for the US military. As far as civilian sales, I've never seen one, or heard of anyone having experience with these. Click image to enlarge.

BYERS 83 (late cab)
Scans from brochure dated 7/50. BYERS was taken over by LORAIN in 1955. I've read that the product line ended in 1958, but I'm not sure that was the case. I do believe that BYERS was the first with independant swing/travel/hoist. This is one of the three most rare and valued brochures in my collecti...

Re: Oshkosh R-series
If the 1693T CAT motor was one of the power options, you could (theoretically) fit a V-12 Detroit in there. The length of these two engines were about the same. From the size of the radiator grille, cooling the later probably wouldn't have been a problem if a slightly larger radiator was installed. ...

Re: happy xmas to all !
Good food, good friends, and family, and I don't have to travel far. If any of you must travel, please have a safe trip to and from. And on New Year's Eve, have a drink for me, since I don't do that anymore

Re: Marching display USA
That took a bit of fore-thought and practice. I dug the tank tracks in motion
