Re: Nick Drew Operator Services

Nick
hope everything goes well with you-I reckon that Cat is the way to go (personally speaking they are too hard on diesel for me) as you do not want to tie yourself down with big repayments.

Re: D11R & scraper

Hi Roly I would be wary of the D8N-if you read the posts on the heavy equipment forums.com a lot of contractors have run D8 high drives alongside D8k`s and the k`s ate them on productivity and fuel consumption. I have been told that a D8k hired into the new motorway just started at Newry was running...

Re: Some old Cats of mine

Robert Fiat seems to one way or another own something of everything but they are not a pillar of stability. Yup,that is a very good description-a few years ago I read in the financial papers CNH were having a last fling at turning round the financial fortunes of their construction business. This is ...

Re: Some old Cats of mine

Hi Robert Vanatta, I read with interest your earlier comments on FiatAllis service and parts-here in N Ireland I have to order parts from TMS in England. Its no problem getting parts for my FD175 apart from the wait but theres not much point in trying to get service or parts from New Holland. This s...

Re: Classic Plant displays at SED

great photos but the chain welded on for a step on the Terex does not set a great example for health and safety.

Re: rare ones

Hi Graham,
I would agree with Dozeron that it has the Athey rocker-who owns it? The only person that I know in the uk that has one of these is Kevin Morgan from Wigan.

Re: Komatsu PC400s

Nick
Having owned PC180-5 until recently the machine with the blue only is dash 3 and the versions with the white stripe and cab are the dash 5s.

Neil
