All the extra space in the engine compartment will be filled by the the next tier (4). The question was asked and that was the answer.

As a Certified Dealer Instructor (CDI) I have worked with Hydraulic Pin Grabber Couplers for some years. We use them on 8 out of 10 HEX used in utility work. The Cat 988H standard boom (front linkage) is the 4.25M the 3.88M is an option as well as the 3.65M for block handling.
