Re: Poclain 75 CKB

Brilliant update, Thankyou. :gooodpost: I had some experience of the Deutz 5 pot engine in a Cat 211 in the early 90's, in the 3 years I had that machine, it never lost the drive belt for the cooling fan, so hopefully with the fitment of the genuine belts, that issue should be solved for you. Intere...

Re: Poclain 75 CKB

How do you remember reg nos from the early 80s? :D Slight trait of Autism I think, (always preferred Machinery to football as a child, (still do), which led to a lot of teasing. Think the reg plate thing came from a Teacher in the late 70's who always wanted to get the best out of everyone in his c...

Re: Poclain 75 CKB

Good the see the progress, and a fantastic job you're making of her Jeremy. Please keep the pics coming! I recall Kimbell Construction of Northampton, laying new sewers through the High St here circa 1980. They had a Poclain duck, (not sure of model as Kimbell and sister company MVRH always painted ...

Re: **it happens

I drive a tanker for a Water Company, collecting sludge for treatment from satellite sites. A lot of sites were never designed for HGV access, and I always wonder if some of the bridges we go over are actually capable of supporting the weight of the vehicles! Until something happens though nothing w...

AR Demolition.

AR demolition are currently on the tail end of clearing the majority of a former shoe factory near me. The original Victorian section is being kept, (for conversion into flats I presume as I believe it has been listed.) Clean and efficient operation and some superb kit on site and on the road. Unfor...

For anyone interested there is some rather grainy footage on Youtube, courtesy of Roly Billings, of Sundew 'walking' from Exton in Rutland to Corby, Northants during the summer of 1974. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvGKooeMJ54

Re: Rare 360 excavator on ebay uk at the moment

Only ever seen one in the metal, with the 'anti dumping' tariff levied on all Japanese machines at the time, JSW I think were one of the most expensive machines on the market, so naturally people looked at their cheaper competitors.

Re: JCB 3CX hydraulic problems

I'm with Pete, the damage is probably terminal I'm afraid. The spools are machined to such exact tolerances, the slightest bit of muck can wreck them. Had a problem with a Cat, where a small piece of rogue metal had got into the hydraulic system, the entire spool block had to be replaced. Cost a for...

Re: Retro Film Comparing the Case 580G and Ford 555

Seems Case picked a weaker competitor to make their comparisons with, now the Case v. the JCB may have been more interesting!
