Re: Ford 4600 Alternator question

be aware that the Fords had an alternator cut-out built in the bottom of the battery tray, it sensed when the battery was getting warm and shut down the charging. Just be sure its not failed.

Re: D4D7R

This looks like a really interesting project, Graham.

Whats the plans for the motor, fit another?
Any history on it, why they stripped it down and didn't repair?

Anyway look forward to seeing it progress through.

Re: Compact Tractor

"They" seem to be the HSE. Looks like I'll get a contractor in to give it a spray, much easier than paying for all the training, getting a permit, and buying a knapsack sprayer. Its around about 150 notes for the PA1 Foundation Course and 250 quid for the PA6 test for knapsack sprayers. M...

Re: Compact Tractor

I chucked some roundup on them last year, and it didnt bother them at all. They seem to return every year with a vengeance. Do I need a spraying license to purchase Asulox, or is it widely available to a small holder. EDIT: "From 1st November 2016, it will be illegal to apply or store (Asulox)...

Re: Compact Tractor

Tilly, Honestly speaking you're wasting your time and money by cutting ferns......you'll be back there again next year and the year after.....and so on....regardless of what growth stage you cut them at. The most effective solution is to spray them with Asulox around late July/Early Aug....full fron...

Re: Doe Show 2017

Good morning Richard, I hope all is well with you. Thank you for the photos. One thing that I have never driven is a Doe (as they were collectively called round here) but having said that I only know one large farming enterprise that had one. I was driving along the road one day and it was quite bi...
