Mine is showing a loy of play in the lower section.
Rubbing the bolt heads of what looks like a retaining flange for spherical bearing or bush.

Centre pivot

Hi
Im going to tackle the centre pivot on my 1999 6 ton benford in the coming months.
Does anyone have an exploded view of this.?
Or better still a manual please.

Did a volt drop test starter off ..just under 10v.
Replaced starter today with a new 4.0kw unit.
now starting spot on..takes about 2seconds. :thumbup:

Volt drop check above was leads only. I have done the isolator bypass also. Did a volt drop check to starter terminal main input to motor positive stud(after solenoid contacts) and negative at end of starter (battery negative connects here via isolator) Volts are dropping and recovering as it rotate...

Volt drop fluctuates 0.2 to 0.7. I will repeat when i can get a more solid connection of the meter leads.. having said that the same effect is seen on both positive and negative battery leads.

Engine is AR with a lucas 1291 pump

Hi I have a 99 benford 6t with a perkins engine. It struggles to turn over on the starter motor. Alt, battery (new) and leads seem good. In order to get it started i have to connect jump leads to the starter motor. Once it does get a fast turn or two it fires up straight away. Before i go changing t...
