David, are these the "walk behind" variety or the later ones with seats. I have a friend in Ireland who has just bought one similar to my Walk behind models. Is this the same person initials J.M ?

Looking at the great pictures of the early Chaseside Rope Shovel, on page 19 of this post. There is a photo of a restored one on the internet, which says it is a 1948 machine.
