Well done Jeremy,progress is being made every time and it will be worth it, is that a V8-540 Perkins I see in Andrew's Dennis Fire Engine? That's what was fitted in my Dodge K Series, lovely sounding engines

I refitted a 3cx digging ram after a reseal this week and put the piston end in first and worked the task back using a bar, word of warning the oil will shoot out as you work it back so stand out of the way if possible

Thanks for the photos of the 370c! This was the state of the commutator I think you've had your moneys worth out of those brushes. ;) If you felt inclined, you could dress the commutator, replace the brushes and bearings and then put it on the shelf until you forget what it fits!
