New Holland EC25 Mini Digger

Folks, Does anyone know where I can buy a new/secondhand set of joysticks for a New Holland EC25 Mini Digger, the ones either side of the seat, one has cracked off from years of being rubbed off while getting in & out of cab. I only want the plastic portion of the handle as the rest is fine. I t...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Thanks Jeremy, John,
The reduction box plugs are around 2 inches lower than the diff plug, I haven't had the axle shafts out at all, I will put transmission oil into the brake casings & gear oil into the diff. I presume that should be ok to do.

Re: Thwaites 7000 rear axle problem

Hi Folks,

Does the oil when poured into top of diff casing also fillk the brake casings either end or does that take a separate oil. Is 80/90 gear oil the correct oil for those axles?

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Folks, a question on the axles on the dumper I have, its a 7000 Mk1 series 4WD. Do you know if the axle oil when poured into diff casing also fills the brake casings on either side OR is that a separate section that takes its own oil ? http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/62480_2F8EJ...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

thanks folks, greatly appreciated. The cast sump is bolted straight onto the chassis, I was wondering if it would be better to mount it on rubber mounts or is better as is ?

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Thanks Men, got the shafts out & re-aligned via the threaded bar & oversized socked approach. By Joe there were well tight, a slow job. Anyhow, next question, the book says during refit the leaded wire used to measure the internal gap from piston to head should be 0.813-0.889 mm. This is mea...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Folks, sorted that, I didn't have the valve body on tight enough, it needs to be re-torqued after removing the inner spring. However I still cannot get the timing right. The eagle eyed among you will see that the heads are removed, in fact the barrells are only resting there, I am rebuilding engine ...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Another question for you, i am following the guide to fit the pumps & work out the shims required, I had taken out the pumps during renovation without understanding the shim importance. I cannot get the steps 12 to 14 to work, when I bleed the line at the FP position, turn the flywheel anti-cloc...
