Re: JCB 3CX Fuel Level Sender

The screws on mine looked that way but they came out, (gently does it) The float had disappeared on mine. Got the new one from Vicary plant it came with a separate earth tag. Ignition on, earth the lead from the gauge to the sender unit the gauge should read full, that proves the gauge is OK. Norm.

Same prob on my 84 3cx. changed the sender unit. There's a plate on top of the diesel tank to the left of the dash. just a little bit fiddly. I got the unit from Vicary Plant.

Looking at the bucket teeth, it must load over?

It does look like it loads over, bet the operator had a sore neck after a shift on that.

Re: JCB 3cx

Pete. It's a different set up to the old 3Cs.( It would be) It has some kind of linkage at the bottom of the operating lever that slides a thingy in the valve block. It can be attached in several positions, don't know if that makes a difference. I'm going to try cracking a hose to determine the press...

I had to remove it from the machine to free it. Now that it's free it still doesn't work.Does the lever have to be pushed away from driver or...
