Re: help identifying this dumper...and starting it

You can have an over fueling problem without the pivoting/weighted stop. Should be able to source some parts from a breaker. Thanks for that EssexPete, I don't suppose anyone knows of a good SHand dealer for the Petter engines. The ones that I have used after doing an internet search haven't really...

Re: help identifying this dumper...and starting it

Thanks. I found the pump primers as described, the one for cylinder 1 was very stiff and difficult to get at behind the throttle linkage, but after some pumping I got the thing started, although I did use a tip I read somewhere of propping the throttle half open as well. Hi Clive, I was propping th...

Re: help identifying this dumper...and starting it

Hi Clive, Welcome to CMN! Your in the right place  There are a number of posts on here regarding the PH2 engines. There are those on here that are far more practised than myself  I have recently had a crash course on setting up the pumps and getting the engine to finally run after some...

Re: its red.

Hi All,
Thanks for the prompt replies

Its defiantly red as it hasn't had the luxury of many coats of paint over the years! :( :( I did at first think that it was plain Post Office red but then came across this post on the subject.

Many thanks

Re: its red.

Hi All, I have a Winget dumper, a Four45 CDP. Its had a very poor paint job at some time in yellow but in places you can see red. My question, were all Winget dumpers red from the factory up and till a certain point in time and was it the Javelin red mentioned? If the Javelin red is correct could an...

Re: 3D II tacho

Hi All, Read with intrest the posts. I replaced my tacho drive and cable and the tacho worked fine until the engine oil travelled up the cable and into the tacho itself! The tacho wound itself right around to a full rev reading every time i connected the cable. I haven't got round to looking a...

Wow, :dizzy:
I have to take my hat off to those that worked them on a regular bases!! I can imagine the steering though and I'd like to think my steering is pretty good but it still floats around :o Progression is a wonderful thing, sometimes!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the compliment

Yeh the road trip was pretty mad, shall we say that the sweat was pouring off at one point :dizzy:

I'll start posting in the Loader/Backhoe section on here now.

Cheers
DJ

PS Keep up the good work Mark
