Traction is our myain problem the D5B and D4H both doze it well. THe clay and sand hold moisture and the the little 2 wheel drive scrapers just spin down. In the summer we can make a one pass across the cut. Then let it dry over night and then come back the next day and cut. Our scrapers arent ment ...

I would like to try one, I saw them a few years ago on the Polytrac website. Im amazed at the speed of 14 mph. Thats as fast as our Deere scraper in 3rd gear and double the capacity. Peter have you found a manifold yet? I think the Terex wreckers in the next town have a loader instock now. The seat looks great, Im rebuilding a JD scraper at work right now. Ive been running a skidder with a 353 Detroit part of the week for a freind. I still here it in my sleep lol.

I love the old offset Farmall tractors like the A Super A Cub 100 and 140. I also like alot of the NewGen Deere like the 4020s. I also and quite fone of the 4000 Ford at work its a mid seventies model. But a 135 Massey diesel was a real sweet tractor here.

A friend and collector Daryl Harp here in the US has 2 of them. One was Ford gasoline powered and had a dump bed the other wa a Diesel powered rig with a mower boom.

How many yards was that scraper capable of? THats a neat find, too many here are lost to scrappers. I tried to buy a small scraper here a few months ago, It was an old surplus Laplant Choate. The owner gave it to his son for scrap.

I got to see alot of them in use, The soil there is mostly sand. It doesnt take alot to grub brush like Brazilian pepper and Palmetto, cacti and live oak.
