Re: D11r

Yes and no. Spends half the time dozing and the other half ripping. Good operator on her, does most the pushing "slot dozing". A proper way to move mineral over short distance. As for ripping, before the 11 landed on site I've seen a D10 with the ripper down, a D9 with its blade on top of ...

Re: UK Coal Lodge House

No interest at all in the RH120's or the 777B's (only 6 of the trucks went to auction in the end). 2 of them have been broken for spares.

Most interest in the Ag tractors and Landrovers which went for over the odds money!

Cat HMS factory Dortmund

Thought I would share a few pic's from the Dortmund factory I was lucky enough to visit earlier this year. Excavators from the 6015 (rh40) thru to 6090 (rh400) are manufactured here. The factory covers a total area of 76,200 m² with around 33,500 m² being under roof. Around 740 people are employed t...

Re: CMN Photo Competition November 2015

I'll start things rolling this month:

just bought a spare stick for a 6030, this is it sat on the deck next to a 775G, gives you a sense of the size....

Re: 631k

Hi Dave,

Same front frame on a 651E and 657E, the serial number prefix are 89Z for a 51 and 90Z for a 57.
The engine is the same arrangement number for both as well.

Re: Novel use for a 725

This thread popped up in Random threads and thought id add a few other examples of ADT's in novel use!

We use 2 x 725 as fuel bowsers and a 735 as a lube truck!

Re: 631k

They can build a motor for a 51 (the 657 is still in production after all and would be the same engine) however, doesn't appear to be a global appetite for a large single engine scraper.

Re: 631k

Apologies it does take you to a Cat site that requires log in, can't attach the vid as file size is too large.
