Well, here is a response from another source which makes sense.... The origin of the word plant is the Latin word planta for sprout. The verb apposite to Latin planta is plantare meaning 'to drive into the ground with the foot'. Sense of a building "planted" or begun for an industrial proc...

This working event planned by the Link Club for the weekend of 19 and 20th June near Wellingborough, Northamptonshire has unfortunately been cancelled due to the electricity company re stringing some high voltage wires across the site.

Vintage and Classic Caterpillar Working Event.

I can't see a section on events, but please move if I missed it.
There will be a "Muck Shifting" event organised by members of the Link Club of UK Caterpillar enthusiasts at Grendon near Wellingborough on 19/20th June.
