Done a tank clean a few weeks ago. Definately made the machine run better. Keep the fuel tank close to full and there will be no gather up of condensation and gunge in the tank. Also get a good funnel with a gauze which lets the fuel through but stops any water that might be in the fuel.

Had a good look around my friends 3cx and found what i believe to be a serial number. 3CX /332419 /P8 . Could any one shed any light if this is correct & what year the machine might be. It is a black cab Perkins engine & 4WD. Thanking you in advance.

Disconnected the linkage the linkage and the stiffness seemed to be in the control box. The machine has not been used for a while. Would the pistons in the control box stiffen up with sitting around.

Working at a friends jcb 3cx today. The first job we tackled was freeing up the levers on the front shovel. They were really stiff. Was the problem just the wrong grade of oil as well as a good clean out of the filters? Did you need to put in new clutch packs and if so was it expensive to repair?

looking at a Hyster forklift with drive problems. When started cold in needs to sit ticking over for a few minutes before it will move. Also needs a lot of revs to get it to move. Oil level ok in transmission. Is the torque on its last legs? Thanks in advance for any help.

It is welded to the outside of the diesel tank. If the diesel tank is low of fuel it should be ok to weld on new hinge. Diesel does not ignite as easily as petrol or parafin.

Would try to repair your own engine. Dismantle your engine to see exactly what is wrong with it. Should be able to do this without removing engine from machine. Remove injectors & head.
