Put a test light or voltmeter between the heater supply lead and battery earth. Turn the key slowly and somewhere between 'ign on' and 'start', you may see the light come on or a current register. If not, try turning the key backwards, see if that does anything.

'No waiting this side today'. I've seen signs in Belgium where the parking is odd days one side evens the other, but never anything similar here.

In the second Berliet photo, I don't think I've ever seen other dumpers with a clevis/eye fitting for locking the body in the tipped position. The second picture looks like a scale mock up of the NASA VAB. Maybe that's where they filmed the moon landings and are destroying the evidence. Surroundings don't look much like Florida though.
