Re: Classic pictures Updated 13/04/2024
Let me just slip on an anorak... Yes, it's an EE type 3, in green would have been a D6xxx number and later on Class 37xxx. Ahem, anyhow, Is there a story to the D tipper? At a glance I'd say from the first photo it ran down the slope on the left backwards and through the wall. Can't really s...

Re: Fuel cans?
What's just as annoying, I have neighbours who like to stir things at any opportunity. Since I've had it it's been run on derv as it's taxed historic, but I guess it was on red before so when the opportunity to make sure presented itself, as above, drained the tank, and blew all the lines out, new f...

Fuel cans?
After a couple of fuel starvation issues on the 550 I decided to drain the tank and blow all the lines out. Lots of crappola in the system so a job worth doing. Anyhow... the one thing I didn't have to hand was a supply of derv to refill and bleed through. So off to Morrisons with a jerry can and wa...

Re: JIC couplings
A quick update, and no further forward with this. The supplier was quick to respond and requested depth measurements of the ram sockets - no explanation of exactly how one would measure it taking into account the ram surface is a curved elipse and the base of the fitting is conical. A high precision...
