I've got space, but not capacity/money to shift or break a whole machine, was hoping for a usable hub. I think a local plant dealer is going to get me new bearings l, just have to work out the assembly, as the original was totally mangled.
I wouldn't mind a mini digger and 3t dumper though....

Re: JCB 3c problems
Hi All, One of the hose unions on the steering ram came loose on my machine, at first I thought it was a pipe gone, so I nursed it back to the shed (leaving a reasonable trail of oil where i had to make tightish turns) and looked at the pipe. I realised that the union was loose rather than the pipe ...

Re: 3cx bucket float and serial
That's interesting, I have a 3c3 from about 78 with a 4 in 1, gonna try that. I've got the three levers, lift/lower tip/crowd/ aux/clam (cessna?) Should mine have this function, I want to use it to scrape my muddy access lane, float would be useful. Don't think it's gonna be there though somehow, li...

Re: JCB 3c problems
'afternoon Gents, Well, the old beast is running well now that it's getting a proper fuel flow, thanks for the tips. No excessive smoke, proper power, starts on first or second compression, even if expectedly a little worn. When I got it, the bloke said the clam on the 4in1 won't work and had been w...

Re: JCB 3c problems
Afternoon chaps, thanks for your tips, the feed and return were definitely the wrong away around. I swapped them last night, and finally got the last chance filter out of the pump. It was covered in fine rubbish, hmmm hope the pumps ok, as it was on the wrong side, with the fuel going the wrong way....

Re: JCB 3c problems
Thanks Chaps, you're right the inj pump is on the right as viewed from the cab, the lifter on the left. It's a CAV pump, I guess you can tell that as I mentioned that it is a ditributor type? All good stuff, and valued input for getting it sorted out, I will keep persevering!! The coolant is only ve...
