Re: Where's my sideshift lever?
Thanks Agrimax -much appreciated. It looks like my valve is in the opposing position compared to your photo, whether mine is open or closed, I don't know? How does the lever operate? Is it a case of pushing the lever forward to open/close and vice versa? I'll see if I can find an exploded diagram to...

Re: Where's my sideshift lever?
Thanks chaps!
I missed the hole in the rubber gaitor! It appears the lever has been removed in its entirety. I'll get a photo uploaded tomorrow to show what is left to try and work out what I need to get it working again!

Where's my sideshift lever?
I'm at a loss as to where the lever that releases the clamps on the rails is located. It's a 1982 3CX Sitemaster with Extradig (Perkins engine). My 3CMk3 was obvious, by mates 1985 3CX is on the right handside of the rear controls. I've got nothing on either side of the rear controls and the plastic...

Re: What are the JCB 3CX Varients and a basic Operators guide?
Tim - how are you getting on with your new machine? I've just bought another JCB, this time a 3CX (I had a 3CMk3 prior). I am looking for an operators manual also for this age of 3CX. Mine's a tad older than yours - white cab, but with the Perkins engine under the bonnet. I'm just about to purchase ...

Re: Part Number request - Washers for oil Banjo bolt
Thanks chaps. Learn something new every day! I think I understand why the dowty washers have been used in such a manner - using 2 together ensures the banjo is inline with the holes in the bolt. See below, which I assume now is incorrect? Banjo bolt: https://s33.postimg.cc/o437ef7y7/IMG_20180717_094...

Part Number request - Washers for oil Banjo bolt
Hello, Can anyone provide me with the part number (or a diagram) for the washers that fit on the cylinder head's oil feed banjo bolt please? Mine keeps on dripping and it appears there are two thick washers. Each washer has a very perished rubber insert. Firstly should there be any copper washers as...

Re: Leyland 498 Rebuild - a few questions
All sorted and back together again now. Ended up installing a new UJ insitu as no matter what we tried, we couldn't get it off. A "fun" couple of hours were had, hanging upside down in the engine bay ensuring the bearings were all in place  . Just for future reference, the UJ is the s...
