He has an Åkerman H7 long reach.

No, he has a regular H7C with an extra dipper (about 5 m long) that can be mounted in the quick hitch. The extra dipper has a bucket cylinder that is actuated from the extra hydraulics that usually are used for tilting buckets.

Manufactured at the Eslov factory, the strong Akerman EC and EW200 models were introduced in 1993 and in total almost 800 were sold. Although technically more advanced than its predecessor the H7C mainly due to the inclusion of COS (Capacity Optimized System), the best days in their notable history had already been and gone.

Sat in a Volvo dealer’s yard, this EW200 with mono-off-set boom has been traded-in against a similar sized EW180C.

The H16B was built from 1973-75; in total 192 units were produced.

At 30 tonnes it was considerably lighter than the H16C and H16D models but still developed a lot of hp (247) for its size.

This one is parked-up during winter, but once spring time arrives, new batteries are fitted (it apparently fires-up first time) and it then begins to strip overburden for 1-2 months.
