Nice photos.

We used the same crane to install a new bridge at Taunton in 2005. Prefabricated steel structure weighing approx 280t. I think there were 550t of counterweights on the rear tray with a further 200t on the slew itself.

It took about 3 days to rig and then derig the crane but only 1 hour to do the job!

Nice pics, you're that close you could be the banksman! Wonder how many truck loads it takes to make up that one crane?

Here's a few more from the same lift. It went like clockwork - Sarens were first class!

I can't remember the exact number of truck loads required to assemble the crane & ballast but it's in the order of 25 I would guess.

Great Pictures Steve, I tried to get abit closer to there lift in kings cross though security wouldn't let me any closer, Talking to the guy,s it was the same there with 1 days rigging for an hours lift.
